I just read a bit in the archive over at OathKeepers that scared the living hell out of me. I'm not going to post a link to it or even post the name of the article for two reasons. One, it's locked for good reason. Two, the poster clearly doesn't get the concept behind the group. He was calling for the immediate public execution of every member of the current administration for Treason and Fraud against America.
The groups I belong to (OathKeepers and the 3 percenters) do not advocate violence to accomplish our aims. In the case of the 3 percenters, we would prefer a non-violent solution, but we will not give up our weapons without a fight. That is not actively advocating a violent solution, we are just acknowledging the fact that violent actions may ensue, and we are prepared to meet violence with violence. We hope and pray that we will not have to take hostile actions, particularly against those who by all rights should stand next to us.
If you advocate any actions of this nature, please don't comment on my blog or try to get involved with the OathKeepers or 3 percenters. Your beliefs do not coincide with ours and your radical ideas could actually damage our efforts. All it would take is for one news story linking you to these organizations for us to be viewed as dangerous radical groups.
