The Journey of a thousand miles part 14: The mine field of the mind.

So I completed my psych eval for the surgery on Wednesday and I am now cleared to meet with the surgeon on the 23rd of this month. Not that it would be that difficult to fake your way through a psych eval if you have half a brain. Of course, if you feel like you need to fake your way through a psych eval, then you're not doing anybody any good, particularly yourself. Lying to the psychologist/psychiatrist/counselor doesn't help at all since they can't address any underlying issues if you do that. If you're having emotional issues to begin with, those emotional issues can directly impact your surgical readiness. If you're feeling like things would be easier if you just died, you probably don't have the will to live through surgery. That's why it's so important to tell the evaluator the truth.

One more step towards surgery.

Asta!
